39 Weeks!

Here is an impressive, big belly shot with 9 days to go!  Due date is next Wednesday, the 18th. 

I have gotten good use out of my maternity bikini with all of this heat.  It's either inside activities or the pool and most days we just pool it!

We started a bad habit of letting Jack sleep in bed with us but he's slowly transitioning to his own bed.  Here he was on one of the first mornings he stayed in his own bed all night!

 Just a random snapshot, but pretty typical of Jack cracking up about something with his beloved paci hanging out of his mouth and with drool on his t-shirt!

 Jack and Andy made me delicious baked french toast for me for Mother's Day!

 Des and I planned a little mom's weekend out in Chicago.  Desiree had just found out that they were having a little girl also so we spent the weekend shopping downtown, going to Ditka's for a fun dinner on the patio, and having a little Starbucks for breakfast.  It was so fun and we decided it needs to be an annual thing.  Nico and Jack also got to have a cousins weekend with Grandma!

 Friends of ours gave us their swing set so we got that moved this spring along with lots of tree trimming and chainsawing!  Jack loves his swingset and could just swing and swing all day long!

5 year anniversary / babymoon

We had some flight voucher that needed to be used so we started looking around at little getaways and a long weekend turned into a 9 day trip!  We flew from Chicago to Miami and stayed there for a night and then hopped on a cruise for the rest of the trip.  I don't think we had left Jack longer than about 15 hours ever before so it was a bit of a drastic step.  He stayed with my parents and played with his Auntie Desi and cousin Nico each day.  He was such a good boy!

 Delicious dinner at the Ice Box Cafe in Miami.  We also walked down to the News Cafe for breakfast the next morning and that was also very good.  Although Miami is probably best known for the party scene, a pregnant mama can sure enjoy herself with the nice weather, people watching, and all the good food!

Jack starts potty training.  We didn't leave the house in undies, but he literally only had like one accident ever at home.  Easiest kid to potty train ever!

 Jack loves helping to cook.  Some little boys are into trains or cars or balls.  Jack's thing is helping in the kitchen.

 I finally caved and got Jack's hair trimmed.  It was getting really long and was probably a bit overdue.  We're still keeping it a little toddler, shag for now.

Off to St. Louis for 4 days of National wrestling championships.  Jack was such a good boy and quite a wrestling fan at his small age.

 Of course half the fun was eating breakfast in bed at the hotel!

Dying Easter Eggs with Mommy & Daddy.

 Iowa Realty egg hunt.  He did a great job running and grabbing eggs but after he grabbed about 15 he thought it was time to just start snacking on all the treats!

 Saying goodbye to Jack's good friends Claire and Emma right before they moved to Atlanta.  So sad!  He misses playing with them and touching their hair!
