38 weeks

So I haven't gotten the "scrub the house from top to bottom" nesting instrinct yet, but everything is ready for the baby.  I also crafted up these little wreathes for all of the living room windows, decorated the house for Christmas, and have 90% of the Christmas shopping done.  I keep telling people that I still feel way too good to have this baby anytime soon.  Everyone says you will feel miserable before you go into labor.  We'll see.  For now, I'm just enjoying my big tummy and finishing up the final preparations. 

It is a little surreal to think that our little guy will be here shortly!

Also, Desiree has strict instructions to update the blog while I'm in labor and with photos of Baby Jack as soon as he's born.  We want to be able to share our new baby with you all in real time:). 

What will his sweet face look like?

We kind of joke that there should be no real surprise with what our baby will look like.  Andy and I both have very similar skin tone, hair color, and eye color.  Being in the last few weeks of pregnancy, it does make me anxious to see what this little guy really looks like.  Desiree has had a few dreams where he has LOTS of LONG blonde hair- like the kind that you have to tuck behind the ears!  Now, that would be a surprise!  I'm thinking he's going to look a little more like one of these pictures of Andy from when he was little.  What a sweet little face!  The only toss up is whether or not Jack will have dimples??  Maybe he'll get a dimple on one side like some of his cousins:).   

I'll dig up a few of me to post too.           

36 Weeks (& Birthday Week!)

We celebrate 'Birthday Week' here in the Litton household.  That means a week of extra pampering and special treatment leading up to your birthday.  As part of 'Birthday Week' we were treated to a great dinner at Brown Bottle from Brian and Meghann.  In addition to my birthday gift, they gave Andy his 'man' baby shower gift of a Diaper Dude diaper bag and a Hawkeye piggy bank for Jack's room.  Andy's pretty excited about his new accessory! Is it funny that he's sporting his man bag while wearing a purple shirt?!? 

And an updated belly shot...36 weeks! 

Tomorrow we are heading to spend the rest of Birthday Week in Chicago with my family.  Can't wait!
